New Appointment: Shirley Hung Joins ART as Director of Marine Cargo and Hull

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Shirley Hung as our new Director of Marine Cargo and Hull, effective this June, 2026.

Shirley brings over 25 years of distinguished, world-class experience in the marine insurance industry to our growing team. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership roles at some of the world's leading global insurers—including AXA XL, AIG, and RSA—where she consistently delivered outstanding underwriting profitability and led high-performing specialist teams.

Beyond her corporate achievements, Shirley is a highly respected figure in the wider maritime insurance community. She has served as a committee member of the Hong Kong Federation of Insurers (Marine Insurance Association) since 2004, worked with the IUMI Cargo Committee, and spent several years lecturing and training the next generation of industry professionals.

In her new role at ART, Shirley will oversee the strategic growth and underwriting direction of our Marine Cargo, Hull and Marine Liability portfolios. Her deep technical expertise, combined with her extensive, long-standing broker relationships across the region, will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our product offerings and deliver exceptional service to our partners.
